{"id":433,"date":"2024-03-19T05:49:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T04:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kb.apptec360.com\/manual\/?post_type=knowledgebase&#038;p=433"},"modified":"2024-04-01T08:04:50","modified_gmt":"2024-04-01T06:04:50","slug":"method-1-qr-code-enrollment","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/kb.apptec360.com\/manual\/knowledgebase\/general-settings\/android-configuration\/ae-enrollment\/method-1-qr-code-enrollment\/","title":{"rendered":"Method 1: QR Code Enrollment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(requires Android 7.0 or higher) We recommend to always use this method if you are running Android 7 or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Factory reset the device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate the QR Code for the Enrollment using one of the two following methods:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click in \u201eGeneral Settings -&gt; Android Configuration -&gt; AE Enrollment\u201c on \u201eGenerate QR Code\u201c. Choose if you wish to skip the storage encryption and\/or all system apps should be removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(alternatively) Choose an existing Device. In the \u201eDevice Overview\u201c click on the QR Code displayed there. Choose if you wish to skip the storage encryption and\/or all system apps should be removed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now tap 6 times on the Welcome Screen of your device. This should start the QR Enrollment Mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now connect to a wireless network and wait a short time until the QR code reader is installed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now scan the QR code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That\u2019s it. Your device is now enrolled in the Android Enterprise Device Mode.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a. If you used the QR Code in \u201eGeneral Settings\u201c you can find your device in \u201ePool -&gt; AE Device Owner Devices\u201c. (Hint: It is possible that you have to reload the site to see the devices).
